What do three Salem, Oregon teenagers – frumpy girl, nerdy guy, and openly-gay guy – have in common? Not much, or so it would seem on the surface, but each has fierce ulterior motives and a sex scandal that links them. These young outsiders are drawn together via the internet, using email and blogs to further their ambitions. From writing a salacious exposé in the newspaper to forming a speech and debate team, they will stop at nothing to push their own agendas. This dark comedy includes hilarious musical interludes.

Produced in association with Stray Dog Theatre Clinic Improv Presents
Epic Pile of Show
Buy Tickets For This Show Now!
Clinic Improv is back with another exciting show of longform improvisation and video sketch. After last month’s wildly successful foray, the trio has constructed entirely new sketches and characters for February’s venture. And of course, all of the improvised scenes will be new, as they are spontaneously created at each show.
Clinic Improv performs a montage of longform improv scenes based off one word, one suggestion from the audience which sparks an idea in the improvisers’ minds. The improvisers step forward and start developing a setting, a set of characters, directing movement and blocking, all within seconds a story is being told. The way the scenes develop from Barrow, Syberg, and Cleveland is different. Their perspective is dark, satirical; they say things that are honest and real. In that honest reality, there is humor and characters that are relatable even for all of their faults. The show involves improv and interludes of video and character sketch. For Mature Audiences.
Clinic Improv features the talents of Lindsey Barrow, Randall Cleveland, and Ric Syberg.

Stray Dog Theatre’s New Works Laboratory Presents
Mischief Moon
by Richard Kelly
Tickets For This Show Are FREE!
Stray Dog Theatre continues to invest in local talent through the presentation of Mischief Moon in its New Works Laboratory. A new comedy, Mischief Moon by Richard Kelly, concerns a rebel poet trying to reconcile with his fiancé before going off to war. But she has plans to tame his rebel heart. Wildly romantic, funny, and moving, it explores the tortured souls and passionate loves of a family torn by revolution in 1915 Ireland.
With the New Works Laboratory, the audience, performers and writer all take part in the play development process. The writer creates the script, the actors translate the page to the stage and audience members exchange immediate and uncensored reaction to the play, providing all with insight into further development of the product. Playwrights with a unique vision, innovative subject matter, and diverse perspectives are thus given a voice—which otherwise might never be afforded to them in the contemporary world of performing arts. The plays selected are showcasing new, full-length works that are near-ready-for-production.
Stray Dog Theatre’s New Works Laboratory is free of charge; however, an opportunity to donate toward the evening’s production is available. Audience feedback following the show is strongly encouraged through a brief talk-back session, hosted by Gary F. Bell, Stray Dog Theatre’s Artistic Director and Richard Kelly, Playwright.
